💬 WhatsApp Business API Setup (Meta Business Portfolio)

This guide walks you through setting up your Meta Business Portfolio, creating a WhatsApp account, and connecting it to TalentLynk.

Before you start

Meta requires every Business Portfolio to be linked to a personal Facebook account to verify you’re a real person.

✅ We recommend using the personal Facebook account of a business director (you can add more admins later).

1. Create your Meta Business Portfolio

  1. Go to:

https://www.facebook.com/business

2. Log in with your personal Facebook account

3. Click Create a business portfolio

4. Follow the steps to create the portfolio

2. Check your Business Info and verify your business

  1. In Settings, go to Business info

  2. Make sure your details are correct (especially):

    • Address

    • Website (must be the full URL starting with https://)

  3. Verify your work email address

  4. Follow Meta’s steps to verify your business

3. Create a WhatsApp Business API account in Meta

  1. In Meta Business Suite, open Settings

  2. Go to Accounts → WhatsApp accounts

  3. Click Add

  4. Select Create a new WhatsApp business account

4. Add a payment method (with your TalentLynk Account Manager)

Once your WhatsApp account is created, a payment method needs to be added.

✅ Your TalentLynk Account Manager will help you complete this step.

5. Connect WhatsApp to TalentLynk (Admins only)

  1. In TalentLynk, go to:

https://app.talentlynk.ai/settings/integrations/whatsapp/

  1. Click Connect

  2. Follow the prompts to link your WhatsApp account

| Note: Only Admins can connect WhatsApp to TalentLynk.

6. Register your phone numbers (with TalentLynk)

After WhatsApp is connected:

  • Your Account Manager will register phone numbers to your WhatsApp account

  • Once Meta verifies the numbers, you can start messaging from TalentLynk

✅ When numbers are verified, WhatsApp messaging will be ready to use.
