Tag additional Bullhorn entities from TalentLynk

Connect a Bullhorn note to additional contacts, candidates, vacancies, and leads without leaving TalentLynk.

What are Bullhorn tags?

When TalentLynk syncs a call or AI summary to Bullhorn, the note is linked to its primary contact or candidate.

Bullhorn tags let you associate that same note with other relevant Bullhorn records:

  • Contacts

  • Candidates

  • Vacancies—shown as Job Orders in Bullhorn

  • Leads

Adding tags does not reassign the call, change its primary contact, or create another Bullhorn note.

Before you begin

To use Bullhorn tags:

  • Your workspace must be connected to Bullhorn.

  • The call or AI summary must already be synced to Bullhorn.

Once the note is synced, you will see a + Tags button beside its CRM activity label. If tags have already been added, the button displays Tags (n) instead.

Add tags to a Bullhorn note

  1. Open the relevant call or AI summary.

  2. Select + Tags or Tags (n).

  3. Choose the type of Bullhorn entity you want to find:

    • Contacts

    • Candidates

    • Vacancies

    • Leads

  4. Enter at least three characters in the search box.

  5. Select each entity you want to associate with the note.

  6. Switch between the entity types if you want to add different kinds of records.

  7. Review your selections under Selected tags.

  8. Select Save.

The selected entities are associated with the existing note in Bullhorn. The button in TalentLynk updates to show the number of additional tags.

You can add up to 20 additional entities to a note.

Searching Bullhorn

Search supports the following information:

  • Contacts: name or email address

  • Candidates: name, email address, or company

  • Vacancies: vacancy title

  • Leads: name, email address, or company

Select Load more when additional matching results are available.

The note’s primary Bullhorn entity may appear in the results with a Primary label. It is already linked to the note and cannot be removed from the tag editor.

Edit or remove tags

  1. Select Tags (n) beside the CRM activity label.

  2. Add more entities, deselect existing ones, or remove them from the Selected tags section.

  3. Select Save.

To remove every additional tag, remove all the selections and save. The note remains connected to its primary Bullhorn entity.

Closing the editor without saving discards your unsaved changes.

Tags on calls and AI summaries

Bullhorn normally uses one shared note for a call and its AI summary to prevent duplicate notes.

When the call and AI summary share the same Bullhorn note:

  • Tags already added to the call are available on the AI summary.

  • Adding or removing tags from the AI summary updates the call.

  • Adding or removing tags from the call updates the AI summary.

  • Bullhorn receives one consistent set of associations for the shared note.

Frequently asked questions

Why can’t I remove the entity marked Primary?

The primary entity is the record against which the Bullhorn note was originally created. Bullhorn tags manage additional associations only.

Why can’t I see the Tags button?

Confirm that the note has successfully synced to Bullhorn and that the feature is enabled for your workspace.

Why can’t I find an entity?

Enter at least three characters and try searching by another supported field. Results also depend on the records available to your workspace’s Bullhorn connection and permissions.

Does tagging create another Bullhorn note?

No. TalentLynk adds associations to the existing Bullhorn note.

What happens if saving fails?

TalentLynk refreshes the saved tag state. Review the selected tags and try saving again. If the problem continues, contact support.
