👥 Microsoft Teams Integration

Important Note:

To be able to connect your Teams Integration, an admin or IT support person from your company must first set up the Admin connection. Please get in touch with them first if you do not see the Teams integration tile in your Settings page.

The admin must also enable Transcription, Transcript API access, and Include speaker attribution. See For Admins/IT Support section at the bottom of the page.

To connect Microsoft Teams to your TalentLynk account, navigate to the Settings page and click the Microsoft Teams tile.

Click Connect and follow the instructions; sign in with your Microsoft / Outlook work account.

Note:

If this option is greyed out please reach out to your IT Support team as they might need to enable it for all accounts.

When you're in a meeting as an organiser, press More (the 3 dots at the top) > Start transcription.

Important:

You need to be the organiser of the meeting and click on "Start transcription", otherwise we won't be able to fetch the transcript from Microsoft.

If Start transcription is greyed out or disabled, an admin needs to enable Transcription from Teams admin center. See For Admins/IT Support section at the bottom of the page.

You will see the message marked as “unread” in your inbox when the meeting becomes available. From there you can “View the transcript” and create an “AI Summary” of the meeting.

For Admins/IT Support

This section is only meant for Microsoft Teams admins or IT support. If you're a regular user, you only need to follow the instructions above this point.

Enabling Transcription

In the Microsoft Teams Admin Center go to Meetings > Meeting policies, select the policy, and make sure Transcription is On:

To apply the setting to all users, select the Global (Org-wide default) policy. To apply to specific users only, create or select the appropriate policy and assign it to the required users. See Microsoft docs for details.

Enabling Transcript API Access and Speaker attribution

This is required even if the TalentLynk app already has Microsoft Graph permissions. If access is disabled, TalentLynk will not be able to pull meeting transcripts.

In the Microsoft Teams Admin Center go to Meetings > Meeting settings > Transcript API access and make sure Enable Graph access is On:
