Outbound Calls
When you make a call from the TalentLynk app (desktop or mobile) using your existing mobile number as the caller ID:
The call will be recorded.
You’ll be able to create call summaries and automations from the call.
The call will be logged with your CRM.
‼️ Inbound Calls
Because your mobile number is only used as caller ID, any incoming calls to your personal number will:
Not appear inside the TalentLynk app or Smart Inbox.
Not be recorded or transcribed.
‼️Calls Made Outside the App
If you make an outbound call directly from your phone’s dialer instead of the TalentLynk app:
That call will not be tracked or recorded in TalentLynk.
No transcripts or automations will be created for it.
‼️SMS and WhatsApp Messages
TalentLynk does not support SMS or WhatsApp messaging when using your own mobile number as caller ID.
You will not receive SMS messages in TalentLynk.
You will not be able to send SMS messages from within the Smart Inbox using your existing mobile number.
Because TalentLynk does not own or host your number, we can only display it as caller ID for outbound calls — messaging functionality isn’t available.
Maximising TalentLynk’s Capabilities
If your existing number is used solely for work (no personal or family calls), you can:
Forward all incoming calls from your mobile number to your TalentLynk-assigned landline number. This allows every call — inbound and outbound — to be captured, recorded, and summarised within TalentLynk.
Porting Your Number into TalentLynk
If you’d like to unlock full functionality, you can port your number into TalentLynk.
Once ported, your number will be fully hosted by TalentLynk.
This enables both inbound and outbound calls to be recorded, transcribed, and automated.
If the number you port is a mobile number, you will also gain SMS capabilities, allowing you to send and receive text messages directly within TalentLynk.
