If yes, the issue is likely isolated to that contact/provider.
2) Ask the contact for more details
Exact date and time they attempted to reply

You can send them something like:
“Can you share the exact time/date you tried to reply, and a screenshot of your message screen? Our provider can investigate further once we have that.”
