How to Sync Phone Calls in Mercury, including optional Follow-Up Dates & Voicemail Status

Sync a call to Mercury

  1. Open the call in TalentLynk (from the conversation or call list)

  2. Create an AI Summary from the Smart Actions menu (optional)

  3. Click + New activity (Sync with CRM) on the call bubble or on the AI Summary note, if one was created

  4. In the Sync with Mercury window:

    1. Select the Activity purpose

    2. (Optional) Set a Follow-up date

    3. (Optional) Toggle Left voicemail if the call was unanswered and you left one

  5. Click Sync

✅ The activity will be created in Mercury with your selected details.

Calls and AI Summaries

If you had a call and then use the Smart Actions menu to create an AI Summary, only sync one or the other to avoid double entries. The AI Summary is treated as a Phone Call activity in Mercury.

When should I use Follow-up date?

Use Follow-up date when:

  • you agreed a time to call back

  • you need to chase a response

  • you want Mercury to reflect a next action for that conversation


When should I use “Left voicemail”?

Turn on Left voicemail when the call was not answered and you left a voicemail message.
