Using Call Guide during a phone call

Use Call Guide to keep track of the questions and topics you need to cover during a live phone call.

💁 Call Guide shows the sections from a Smart Action while you are speaking with a contact. It does not record answers or run the automation during the call.

Before you start

  • Call Guide is available during active phone calls in the desktop dialler.

  • Your admin controls which automations appear in Call Guide.

  • Automations must be published to appear.

Open Call Guide

  1. Start or answer a phone call.

  2. In the call controls, click Call guide.

  3. The Call Guide panel opens on the right side of the screen.

✅ You can keep the panel open while using the normal call controls, including Mute, Transfer, and End call.

Choose a guide

  1. Click an automation to open it as your guide.

  2. Read the automation description, then work through its sections in order.

  3. Use the back arrow beside the automation name to choose a different guide.

Use the guide during the call

Each guide shows numbered sections. Use these as prompts to make sure you cover the right topics before ending the call.

For example, a Screening Questions guide may include sections such as:

  • Current situation

  • Reason for leaving

  • Future role

  • Salary expectations

  • Notice period

Run the automation after the call

When the call has ended:

  1. Open the call in the conversation.

  2. Click Smart Actions.

  3. Select the same automation.

TalentLynk will use the call recording and transcript to generate structured answers for the sections you covered.

For Admins: Manage which automations appear in Call Guide

Admins can control this setting for each automation:

  1. Go to SettingsAutomations.

  2. Create or edit an automation.

  3. Turn Show in call guide on or off.

  4. Save the automation.

The setting is enabled by default. Turning it off only hides the automation from Call Guide; it does not prevent eligible users from running it later through Smart Actions.
