How to View and Manage All Your TalentLynk Conversations in One Place

The Smart Inbox brings all your communication channels together — calls, WhatsApp messages, SMS, and emails — into a single unified thread.
This makes it easy to stay on top of every interaction with your candidates and clients.

🔎 Accessing the Smart Inbox

You’ll find the Smart Inbox on the left-hand side of TalentLynk, just under Home.

If you’re brand new and haven’t spoken to anyone through TalentLynk yet, this page will appear empty. Once communication starts flowing, this is where you’ll see everything.


👥 Contact List & Filters

On the left-hand panel, you’ll see:

  • A list of all contacts you’ve had previous conversations with

  • A Star icon to mark important conversations

  • A Smart Filter where you can filter by:

    • ⭐ Starred conversations

    • 👤 Candidates

    • 🏢 Clients

    • 🏙️ Companies

This makes it easy to focus on the conversations that matter.


🧑‍💼 Contact Details

When you select a contact from the list, you’ll see detailed information about them, including: Name, Company, Title

Additional tools include:

  • LinkedIn search button — quickly look up the contact on LinkedIn

  • Refresh button — instantly syncs the latest contact information from your CRM (updated surname, number, email, etc.)

This ensures your contact details in TalentLynk are always up to date.


☎️ Caller ID & Call Options

Your Caller ID displays the number your contact will see when you call or message them.
You can choose to send communication from:

  • Your mobile number

  • A landline

  • A company main line

Next to the contact’s number, you’ll also find a Call button to dial directly from TalentLynk.

You can also initiate calls straight from your CRM (Bullhorn, Loxo, Vincere, Cherri, etc.) using the Click-to-Call extension.


🧵 Unified Conversation Thread

The centre of the Smart Inbox shows a single combined thread of every interaction with that contact, including:

  • 📧 Emails

  • 💬 WhatsApp messages

  • 📨 SMS

  • 📞 Phone calls

Everything appears in one timeline, so you always have full context.


✉️ Sending a New Message

At the bottom, you’ll find the message box. Here’s how it works:

  1. Select a channel:

    • WhatsApp

    • SMS

    • Email

  2. For Email:

    • Edit the subject line

    • Add/remove your signature

    • Attach files

  3. For SMS:

    • Messages must be plain text only

    • No attachments or media


🎛️ Filtering by Channel

If you only want to view communication from a specific channel:

  • Use the thread filter at the top of the conversation

  • Example: Choose WhatsApp to show only WhatsApp messages with that contact

This is especially helpful when reviewing channel-specific activity.
