How to tell if this is the issue

  1. Open the Dialler

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Scroll down to Sound settings

If you see Microphone permission was denied, follow the steps below.

In the TalentLynk App

  1. Click the three dots (top right)

  2. Select App info

  3. Under Permissions, click Reset permissions

  4. Close the menu, then click Reload when prompted

  5. When prompted again:

    • Allow Notifications

    • Allow Microphone (Allow while visiting the site)

✅ Your calls should now work.

TalentLynk in Chrome / Edge (browser tab)

  1. Click the site icon next to the address bar (left of the URL)

  2. Click Reset permissions

  3. Reload the page

  4. When prompted again, allow Microphone (Allow while visiting the site)

✅ Your calls should now work.

Select your headset in Sound settings

After permissions are enabled:

  1. Open the Dialler

  2. Go to Settings → Sound settings

  3. Select your headset by name (instead of leaving it as Default)

✅ This helps avoid issues when switching devices.

Test your microphone

  1. In Sound settings, click Record

  2. Say something (e.g. “This is a headset test”)

  3. Click Stop

  4. Click Play to listen back

✅ If you can hear the recording and you see the input lines moving while speaking, it’s working.

If it still doesn’t work

Sometimes you may need to repeat the reset once more:

  1. Reset permissions again

  2. Reload

  3. Allow microphone again

✅ If the dialler is “spinning” or waiting, it’s usually still waiting for microphone permission to be allowed.
