1. Select your headset in the Dialpad

  1. Open the Dialpad in TalentLynk

  2. Click Settings

  3. Under Sound Settings, select the Input and Output devices that match your headset name

Note: It’s usually OK to use Default if your headset is already set as the default in Windows sound settings.

To ensure you’ve selected the right device, press “Record” and start talking to see if the microphone works correctly. When you’re finished click “Play Recording” to listen to your recording and ensure that the output also works correctly.

2. Test your microphone and speakers

  1. Click Record and start talking

  2. Click Stop

  3. Click Play recording to listen back

✅ If you can hear yourself clearly and the input levels move while speaking, your settings are correct.

If microphone permissions are denied

If you see a message saying microphone permissions were denied, follow the steps in this guide to reset and re-enable them: Microphone Permissions

If audio is still unclear

  • Try selecting a different input/output device and run the test again

  • Make sure your PC volume is not muted and is not set to 0

Background noise cancellation

🎧 We do not advise using AirPods or headphones of any kind as they do not have noise cancelling capabilities, which causes background noise.

Please invest in a dedicated headset with noise cancellation capabilities (e.g. Jabra, Logitech etc) if possible.
